There has been a rumour that has been going around that Facebook is planning to start charging its users for the use of the platform.  This of course the rumour caused a huge outcry amongst its users.  This is inspite of the fact that Facebook states on its homepage that it has always been and will always be free to all.  The rumours of a pay scheme, false as they are and as always, have spread like wild fire.
